Delirium still missed Bob. Her mornings consisted of waking up and reaching out for him sleepily only to realise that he wasn’t there and then she would cry into her pillow. Burying her head against the mattress until it was time for her to stop crying and maybe talk to Rob or Catherine or Abby if she visited. And then Del would lie in her bed and daydream, until she fell asleep again. In other words after two days of this Delirium was ridiculously bored and that irritation overrode every other emotion she was feeling.
Delirium twisted uncomfortably in the bed, arching her back against the mattress in impatience as she tried to get comfortable. It felt like her flesh wanted to rip out of her skin and go wandering without her. Kicking off the sheets in frustration, Delirium lay on her side pressing her pillow over her face as she screamed into it. After a short while she threw that off her bed too. Delirium threw her weight down and kicked out with her legs. She was just so bored.
Bee-Oh-Argh-EEE-Dee. Bored. With Capitals.
Delirium picked up the book Every Gallifreyan Child’s Pop-Up Book of Nasty Creatures From Other Dimensions, and attempted to read it but she was just too annoyed. Delirium turned the page looking at the four dimensional book before that too was put aside as she squirmed in the bed. She was fed up of being cooped up in a small room with no freedom to do anything. Part of her knew that Rob was just doing what he thought was best but a big part of her, at this moment in time, thought he was a Big Meanie.
Delirium sat up suddenly, the blood rushing to her head and making her want to lie down again until everything stopped moving so quickly but she persevered onwards. Swinging her legs over the side of the bed, Delirium reached for the
t-shirt that either Abby or Chris had left her, probably Abby from the slogan and pulled on a pair of shorts. Dropping to the floor Delirium hummed the Great Escape theme as she darted across the Clinic, very conspicuously, and tried to make escape attempt number one.
