Kate's never felt less like vomiting in her whole life. And lately, that's saying something. She's waited her whole life for this exact moment and to play this exact part and maybe she's a little overemotional lately, but she can't help but tear up when it ends. She owes Geoffrey the world for this chance and she just wants to get back up there and do it a thousand times over. Still dressed in Juliet's white shroud she makes her way through the crowd, beaming up at everyone.

Maladicta darted swiftly through the milling crowd to throw her arms around Kate and pull her into a strong hug.

"You were brilliant," she said honestly.

"The Queen Mab speech gave me actual chills," she responds, grabbing her hands. "Seriously, it was amazing."

"The bedroom scene," Maladicta shot back, "the lark exchange. It was stunning." They could probably go back and forth like this for a while. Kate's performance had been nuanced and alive in the extreme.

"Your death scene, I actually almost cried and I've never cried at Mercutio's death before," she assures her. She laughs and looks around. "That was amazing."

"It was," Maladicta agreed, smiling a little at the compliment and ducking her head for a moment, glancing around the gathered crowd. "It was... They've been good, before, they've been actually quite amazing. I had no idea this would turn out like- this, though." She grinned back at Kate.

"You should be very pleased with yourself, young lady."

"I'm just," she starts, at a loss to even describe it. "Oh! Hey, have you heard yet? I'm pregnant."

Maladicta blinked, slightly derailed by the news, before her mouth fell open.

"What?" she said, looking thoroughly shocked. "Oh dear Gods. You're- That- Congratulations," she said brightly, but looking thoroughly perturbed.

"I forgot humans had them so young," she murmured, then shook herself slightly and caught Kate's elbow. "That's wonderful. Did Jack throw up when you told him?" she asked, corner of her mouth twitching up. It seemed to be how he responded to important news or high pressure situations.

"Almost," she says, nodding her head, deciding not to question the human thing too much. "But I've been throwing up for weeks so maybe he didn't want to upstage me. We just found out."

"Oh," Maladicta said, blinking and leaning back slightly. "That's... alarming. No? That's normal?" She bit her lip. If there was one thing Maladicta knew next to nothing about, it was pregnancy.

"You don't seem worried so I assume that's normal. So it's a big week then," she said, smiling broadly.

"It's normal," she reassures her. "And yeah, it's been a completely and totally overwhelming week. I'm still freaked out." She passes a hand over her still pretty much flat belly. "Feels weird."

"You did very well," Atia gives the praise without reservation. The young woman is very talented, none can deny that, not even Atia. Nor would she want to, not considering that Kate's role had such an effect upon her own. "Is it often like this? Afterwards?"

Kate eyes her a bit warily as she comes up. She is, after all, the same person who tried to live in her house without her permission. It seems, however, that maybe she's mellowed. "Thank you," she says with a small smile. "Emotional, you mean? Yeah...I think I can definitely say you were the most regal nurse I've seen."

"Emotional, yes. It was unexpected." Honestly, Atia had nearly forgotten about the houses. It was her way, put things behind her that she could not work to her own advantage in some way, remember those she could. "Thank you. Though I do think a great deal of heartache could have been saved if Juliet had listened to her mother as she should."

"You died pretty good," Peter offered her, when he saw her. It was the first time he'd ever talked to her, because it was easy to ignore even the lead when you're in the chorus with a friend to distract you. But now he was scuffing his toe and almost blushing as he not-quite met her eyes. "it was sad but you did a good death."

"Thank you very much," Kate says, leaning down to kiss him on the cheek. He is far too cute. "I think you're going to be great. You should try out for a bigger role sometime."
