Tea Party

May 14, 2008 19:56

Sunny was dressed in her prettiest fairy costume for the tea party.

Fancy dress was a rule, and anyone not obeying would hear it from her. Or she'd sic Banky on them. In case anyone didn't have fancy clothes, there was a box of them to borrow right at the front of the party: crowns, top hats, capes, scarves, gloves that went all the way up to your elbows, large brightly colored fake jewelry...the works.

And, of course, there was tea.

Horatio, who knew all about tea because he was a kind of guy called British, put himself in charge of making sure it steeped in the correct amount of time. Sunny didn't know anything about all that, but she also didn't know how to make tea in the first place so it was probably better that he was making it. She had her own special wooden tea set Duck had made for her months ago, and some nice dishes had been brought from the Compound for the other tables. Charlie had decorated the tables with pretty table cloths (actually, just blankets) and flowers. Anne and Kate had made treats, little cakes and cookies, and everything was ready!

Now, the party just needed guests.

[Drop in at any time, obviously you don't have to live in the Hidden Hamlet to come to the party; everyone is welcome! Children are especially welcome. Three-way mingling threads are super awesomely welcome, making up party games and dancing also...you get the idea. Feel free to use this to your advantage re: tag someone new week!]
