So there were two women in a garden...

It was strange the habits you fell into here, or so Ros thought as she crouched in the garden pulling at weeds. Dirt was smudged on her cheek, and she had a small pile of the noxious plants near her feet. How her mother would have loved to see her now. Gardening of all things. Ros smirked at the thought, running over the imagined conversation in her head as she continued up the row of plants. It said a great deal of her distraction that Ros didn't hear the woman behind her until she spoke.

Marian had watched the woman for a moment before approaching. To ensure she was not causing damage mostly, for more assistance in the gardens was something to be appreciated, especially with Anne still busy with young Matthew. "Hello," she was aware her eyebrow was raised, as she looked down at the woman, dressed unaccountably in a top that was pink and featured a fox princess that Marian knew all too well. Her smile turned stiff. "Have you come to help?"

"No, I was weeding the garden for the benefit of my back and knees." Ros tilted her head up toward the woman, aware that her response wasn't precisely friendly. "If you'd rather I can find something else to fill my time."

"Of course not." Marian forced herself to smile, snapping out her words. "More help is always appreciated, however recalcitrant."

"Good. I'm glad we've settled that." Ros turned back to her weeding. "I'm Ros by the way."

"Marian." She said shortly, casting another unfriendly glance at the shirt Ros was wearing before settling in a few rows away from Ros to do her own work.

[[Two women in the garden. Yes Ros is wearing a shirt with Disney-fox-Marian on it, and she's no idea that's who Marian is. Tag one, tag the other, tag them both, be prepared for random insertions of wit and acerbicness from them. ST & LT welcome]]
