Raistlin had finished Dracula and while it had been interesting it was quite clearly something he never would have chosen for himself, and something that seemed to have nothing to do with him. This discrepancy opened up the question of why the bookshelf had given it to him in the first place. Of course, he knew better than to look for logic where enchanted items were concerned and it wasn't long until he shrugged it ending up back in the Rec Room with the intention of finding another book. It could have been because he was bored, but it was rare he did anything for the most obvious reason.

Interview with the Vampire was the title of the book that the bookshelf ending up giving him. The fact that there seemed to be a pattern was intriguing, but he gave it no other thought as he turned the book over and glanced at the back to discover if it might be worth his time. He finally made his decision as he took a comfortable seat opening the book to the first page.

He wasn't aware of time passing, and it was likely that as he read people had come and gone without his notice. Occasionally he gave the book a look of disbelief or confusion, even once there was perhaps a look of pity, but never once did he put it down for a break of any sort.

Finally after he had turned the last page, without even bothering to see if he was alone, he stated "What a waste." as he threw it carelessly onto the arm of the chair where he was sitting. Whether he was talking about the last few hours spent reading the book, the plot of the book, or something else altogether was up for debate. When he attempted to stand he realized quite a lot of time must have passed. It was the only way to explain the stiffness as he stood, and the slightly disoriented look on his face as if he had just woke up from a deep sleep.

(OOC: LT/ST Welcome! Yes, he's just finished it and in his own way 'WTFing' *grins*. Feel free to get his opinion, or ignore the book altogether. Any former vampires, or vampire hunters would be great.)
