As much as he loved having so many people to look after, Leoben thought it was sort of nice to have an afternoon where he didn't have to keep an eye on two kids and a puppy. Multi-tasking wasn't something you could do with a nine month old, a nearly two year old and a dumb albeit lovable husky. Instead, he was just watching Calliope and he was hoping that later, he could spend time alone with Hera.

His daughter was pretty preoccupied with the set of stackable rings he'd made her, piling them up and then handing him pieces for awhile before taking them back. She didn't like if he picked anything up on his own, but it was okay if she handed it to him first, which was sort of amusing. Reminded him of Starbuck though he kept that thought to himself.

But because he was apparently her construction assistant, Leoben was stuck holding a green and red ring while she inspected a smaller blue one, but he was pretty sure any second she would stick her tiny hand in his direction and he'd have to figure out which one she wanted back first. Assuming she didn't make a grab for the one she wanted.

He preferred the endless making piles of things and taking them down only to build another pile again to her trying to get him to eat some of her food, which Calliope also kept doing. And, okay, yes he thanked her and dealt with it, but he thought that trying to feed your father like he was a baby bird was probably the sort of thing that would come back to haunt and embarrass both of them when she got a little older.
