It wasn't like any Christening that Ray'd ever been to, but Tosh had told him what he needed to do and it was all simple enough. A lot simpler than the acutal job of being godfather to Jackson, which he figured was going to include the occasional feeding and diaper duty in spite of any protests.

Jackson really was a cute kid, and Ray felt protective of him like he felt protective of Tosh. Except, of course, Jackson had never dumped him. The kid was going to need a role model who taught him about something other than science, though, that was for sure.

Abby and Ianto she'd been fairly sure they'd say yes, Ray she hadn't been quite so positive about. She was glad that he had.

"You really think I was gonna say no?" said Ray. "Of course I wasn't gonna say no." It was a serious commitment, sure, but you just didn't say no when someone you cared about asked you to look out for their kid.

"If there's anybody around here giving out tattoos, I don't know about it," said Ray. Of course, you could find just about anything else on the island if you knew where to look. "I think you're safe for now."

"I'm sure someone will find a way. Though you're right. I think we're safe, at least for another few years," Tosh smiled again. "So many people. I didn't think so many would actually come."

"Well, no offense, but it's not like people have really full social calendars around here," said Ray. "I, of course, would have been here anyway. And not just cause I was part of the ceremony."

Ray tried to shrug it off, but they both knew it was a pretty important thing. "I haven't got a lot of stuff on the island other than my best friend and my work."
