Serenity

The sun had set over the indistinct horizon, but the warmth of the day still lingered where Adam sat. The day had been...moderately productive. It was a bit odd to be back in a time without the majority of the technological 'comforts' he had grown accustomed to. Of course, it had only been two hundred years since the word 'technology' had been a foreign one, and he himself had been born just out of the Renaissance. Two centuries of surviving on one's own skills was not something that you forgot.

However, it would have been nice to have a few more tools. Securing an unsuspecting and ugly island bird had been easy enough...starting the fire without anything more than painfully basic tools was far more annoying.

Still...perhaps he would find better tools tomorrow. For now, the crackling of the modest fire echoed with the flowing creek--or perhaps it was a river--just over the rise. He supposed he could have made and ate it inside the hut that had been so conveniently built for him...bu he rather liked the cooling night air. No doubt it was tied in with being stuck in the cement cell for three decades.

Adam took a bite of the mango he'd snatched earlier, and moved to sit at a fair sized rock near the roasting fowl.

In the dark, the island did not seem so strange at all.

OOC: He's not doing anything interesting but eating a bird near his hut. He'd share with any random hungry islander, but he might not necessarily be very happy about it.
