The star observed the woman for a moment or eight, watching the panic that she had seen several times from far away, up close and not as personal, Tristran the dormouse rest in his place in the pocket of her dress.
Only when she could be certain that the woman probably did not have some sort of frothing disease did she speak.
"I don't think you're going to die. Not right now at least. You might if you keep making all that noise."
Atia had just caught her breath when the woman spoke to her, "Is that some sort of threat?"
She was dressed oddly, and Atia was completely unsure of where she was. Could Servillia have drugged her? Could Timon have betrayed her? Shakily, she got to her feet, squaring her shoulders, "I do not think you realise just who you are dealing with."
The star did not do threats. Not really, at least not anymore. She had not had the patience for them when she had things to bargin with and these days, they seemed like far too much work with far too little pay off.
"It'd be a very sorry threat if it was," she pointed out. "I was just pointed out that you need to breathe or you're going to wind up doing more harm to yourself then good. Probably. And I don't think who you are or were matters much. At least not to me."
"Of course I need to breathe," Atia responded shortly. "What kind of fool do you take me for."
As for the rest... Surely things in Rome could not have changed so much since she had been abducted (for that is what she was convinced had happened now), "Whatever Servillia is paying you, I will double it."
Yvaine decided that answering that question would probably not be the best idea. There were definitely other things she could do with her time if she wanted to be snapped at.
Like stick her hand in a dinosaur's mouth, that would probably be one. "Who? I apologise, but I haven't the faintest idea who that is. You all sort of blend together after awhile what you eat, what you like, everything like that."
The star decided that again, she could answer that honestly, but dinosaurs seemed like a much better option.
"Fine, don't believe me, I have much better things to do with my time. Perhaps, Delirium wants to deal with you, as she is Insanity Incarnate. You're probably one of hers anyways." Yvaine decided that this was a better idea. She even smiled at the idea of it.
"If was I going to call you that, I would have used the word whore," Yvaine pointed out, now growing extremely tired with this sort of questioning, and this sort of woman, who was starting to get on her nerves. In her pocket, Tristran squeaked.
"I do know what's good for me, and my name is Yvaine, and the council is not in session right now."
"I would not go see them if they were in session," Atia spoke clearly, as if the girl were touched by some sort of madness and needed each word spelled out for her. "They must surely have villas. You may take me to one of those."
"They'll not see you if they aren't, they'll be busy, or don't you know how politics work?" Yvaine was growing quite tired of this whole entire scene. Mad women tended to do that to where. "Oh, of course they do, but I don't really want to bother them. It'd be like if one of them showed up at my door with an astronomer or astrologer and said that I had to deal with them because I am a star."
"Do I not understand politics?" Atia looked at the woman disbelievingly, moreso when she spoke of being a star. "Oh, go away. You are obviously mad, I will find my way to those I need."
"Fine, I don't care, get eaten by beasts, they'll probably die of indigestion. No wonder people are so stupid, you probably are Pullo's dead wife by the way you talk," Yvaine said rolling her eyes, more than ready to be finished, starting to head off towards the entrance to the Compound. Just another one for the heap. Typical.
Yvaine stopped, sighing slightly and perhaps a bit over dramatically as she was wont to do. "Yes, the one and the only." She turned and looked at the woman. "You know him and his friend? I like his friend better."
"Of course I know who he is. He tutored my son," Atia sighed, realising that she would have to deal with this madwoman. "His friend. You cannot mean Vorenus, the oaf. Antony's man I suppose. Is Antony here as well?"
For the first time excitement and hope showed through.
Only when she could be certain that the woman probably did not have some sort of frothing disease did she speak.
"I don't think you're going to die. Not right now at least. You might if you keep making all that noise."

She could not believe this. Absconded with, insulted, no idea where she was. Wait. Servillia would want her to be irrational. She would revel in it.
Atia composed herself. "Bring me to the consul girl, if you know what's good for you."
