A tall, brown-haired guy stood just to the left of the bookshelf in the rec room, a look of puzzlement slowly overtaking his face as he stared at the easel kit that seemed to have been mistakenly marked with his name. He fingered the tag for a long moment and shook his head. It wasn't anything like what he'd had at home - it was better, in fact - ( Read more... )

"Hey, beautiful," Lennox said upon seeing Pam sitting on the couch, then headed over to sit down, though he did so carefully, so as not to disrupt the sketchbook she was holding on her lap.

"You're baby free. This is a new look for you," he teased, grinning over at her. "How's it feeling?"

She smiled at him, resettling herself as his added weight shifted the cushions just slightly.

"Weird. Like I've got a phantom limb or something," she joked. "You know?"

"Phantom baby," Lennox said with an appreciative grin, resting back against the cushions. "Between you and me, man, that's just a little bit creepy, but I guess it's forgivable. First time mom and all."

"Yeah, shut up," she muttered, rolling her eyes at him as she blushed a little.

"So what are you up to?"

"Just hanging out with one of my favourite people in the whole wide world," Lennox announced with grin, nudging Pam's shoulder gently with his own. "It kinda makes my whole day that much better. So what'd you get for... whatever present day this place has?"

Pam rolled her eyes and laughed.

"I got canvases. A pretty big pack of them, too." She picked at a loose thread on the arm of the couch. "What about you?"

"A fully stocked mini bar," Lennox said with another little smile, giving Pam another nudge. "I may just ask one of my favourite people in the world if she wants to have a little bit of real chocolate. Some peanuts. Can you drink yet? I might have something extra for you, if you can."

Pam's eyebrows lifted in an interested manner.

"Real chocolate, huh? I could probably have a little drink soon." She shrugged noncommittally. She hadn't had a real drink in over a year, so she didn't really miss it all that much.

"Come with me, gorgeous," Lennox said, offering his hand as he got to his feet. "For you, I'm willing to open that mini bar and fish out a chocolate snack or two."

The supply was slowly dwindling, but he was careful about who he shared with and how often. It might all last another two months or so if he was careful.

Tucking her sketchbook under her arm and sliding her feet back to the floor, Pam took Lennox's hand and stood up.

"You can't just bring it to me?" she teased.

"I adore you, Pam, but not enough to be your slave," Lennox said with a laugh, tucking her hand into the crook of his arm. "Now don't push your luck, man, my chocolate supply is limited and I'm expressing great trust and admiration in sharing with you. Or something along those lines."
