Bee woke up in her bed in the compound, slowly emerging from a dream she was already starting to forget. Most of her was still caught in the middle-ground between sleep and waking, but on some level of her mind, she registered that she was not alone in her bed.

She rubbed her eyes and sat up, and yawned and stretched luxuriously, like a big cat, her hair a tangled mane around her head. She looked down to the foot of her bed, and saw the puppy. He sat regarding her with a stern sort of interest, as if he already knew she was up to no good. Bee cocked her head to the side. "Hello, puppy."

She reached a hand out to him, and he sniffed it in much the same way a guarded man would shake hands with a stranger. Bee suppressed a grin. She never would have thought it possible that a puppy could remind her of her father, but here he was, sitting right at her feet, his ears floppy and his eyes quiet and examining, taking much more than they gave. Which was strange for a dog. "Your name is Franz," she informed the creature. "And I am going to take you outside now, so you can do your business."

Bee didn't bother to put on anything too warm, thinking she wouldn't be out for long. She and Franz padded along together, Bee occasionally glancing down at him, surprised by how closely he followed her and how oddly un-puppy-like he was.

She opened the Compound door, letting Franz out and bracing herself for the inevitable gust of cold wind. She felt herself contracting inward, arms defensively crossing in front of her chest. But the cold air never came. Instead, a warm breeze drifted through the door, drawing Bee out and unfolding her. She stepped out into the sun, feeling it on her shoulders and hair, warming her, bringing her back to life. She smiled and began to move, first twirling slowly, and then running, leaping, cartwheeling as Franz jumped and barked after her.

[ooc: sorry I've been EPing her so much, but she suddenly started shouting at me last night and I had to. But it's my New Year's Resolution to do more tagging, so have at it! :) All manner of tags and credit cards accepted - late, slow, visa, mastercard...]
