When Spike walked into the compound he was scratched, bruised, and dirty, but glad he'd gone off on his own. Cleared his head a bit, got some things sorted out. He still wasn't happy about a lot going on in his unlife (old habits died hard), but he at least didn't feel like putting a fist in the teeth of the next person who smiled at him. So life wasn't perfect. That was just how it was. Suck it up and keep going.
After a long, hot shower he was feeling much more human again (which still wasn't necessarily a good thing, in his opinion) and he dressed in clean clothes before heading to the kitchen to have something to eat that hadn't been cooked over a too-small fire--or eaten raw, on the wetter days and nights. He put on the kettle for tea and poked through the contents of the fridge, waiting for something to catch his eye and his stomach.
[Cranky ex-vamp is returned from about 9 days sulking in the jungle and taking out his aggression on boars and jungle critters. Feel free to have your pup have noticed his absence and react to his return accordingly. The IPD was aware of his absence, so there was no disappearance panic if your pup would have talked to them.
