They say that, short of having somebody die, moving is the most stressful thing that you could do in your life. Eostre hadn't found it particularly stressful, but only because she'd spent the day in the kitchen with the girls and the air conditioning and let the boys do the majority of the heavy lifting

Tim wasn't sure what he was going to do. After the terror that was Halloween and after Tony showing up, he wanted to do something, he just wasn't sure what. So he'd gone on a walk. By himself and not in any specific direction. Almost funny, then, that he should come across her. He knew her by sight, of course. He'd seen Abby with her. They'd just never met.

He wasn't sure what she was doing, so he remained quiet, just watching her.

"This is our place," said Eostre to her daughters, her voice soft. "This is the place that your father built for us and for your brother, and no harm will ever come to us here. This is my place, and I promise that no harm will ever come here."

If she realised that he was there, she didn't give it away. She just stood with her daughters and looked up at the branches of the tree.

Tim blinked. He hadn't thought he was being sneaky, but he didn't like the fact that she didn't know he was there. He didn't want to scare her, after all. So he cleared his throat enough to get her attention. Of course, he wasn't sure what he was going to do when he had it.

She looked up, her green eyes wary for a moment and then turning questioning. She recognised him. She seen him with Abby, though they'd never met.

"Hello," she said, with a smile, though, with her arms full of babies, she couldn't wave. "We were just finishing our move."

Well, that didn't help. He still didn't know what he was doing, standing here. But he decided to make the most of it. "Do you need any help? I'm Tim. Tim McGee." He didn't mention her and Abby, since he wasn't sure what Abby had told her about him.

"Tim," said Eostre, appearing to mull it over. "Tim...Abby's Tim?" She hefted the weight of one of the girls, settling her more securely in her arms. "Any friend of Abby's is entirely welcome in my home."

That caught him by surprise and he immediately shook his head. "I haven't been Abby's Tim for a while," he said. Of course, that wasn't what she'd meant, but it wasn't until after he spoke that he realized it. "Uhh...but by that token I'm Tony's Tim, too."

Which was equally as bad.

Eostre gave him a level look, one eyebrow slightly raised.

"A-ha." She shifted the girls' weight in her arms. "That Tim, then. I see."

Tim flushed, though there wasn't any reason to. "And you would be...Eostre, right?" The twins gave it away, even if nothing else would have.

"That would me," said Eostre, shifting the twins in her arms. "It's nice to finally meet you, Tim. Abby talks about you a lot."

That caused him to flush and stammer a little more, though he didn't know why. He was sure that Abby talked about Tony, too. "She's mentioned you, too," he said finally. He moved his fingers in what was supposed to be a gesture that meant that he knew that they were together. He wasn't sure if she got the point.

"I would imagine that she has," said Eostre. Her tone was dry and her expression barely twitched. She'd heard what Tim thought. "We spend a lot of time in each other's company."

"I'd...ah...noticed." He wished for a hole that he could bury himself in. Of course, the island didn't provide one. He rubbed the back of his head, trying hard not to look embarrassed. That, too, didn't work.

"I bet you did," said Eostre, rubbing her nose against the top of a small hand, ruffling fine, fair hair.

"It's okay, you know. It sort of works. Pretty well, in fact."

"What?!" Tim yelped, shaking his head immediately. "No, no. There's nothing to work. Abby and I...well, it's been a long time." And she just hadn't been interested in long term relationships. So she'd told him.

Eostre arched an eyebrow.

"We've been together for a year. I suppose she told you that?" She turned away from him, towards the babies' basket on the floor.
