When Ian Murray hallucinated a witch while he was making love to his pregnant wife he thought that he was losing his mind. A few months later, when he wakes up and finds Gellis Duncan in his treehouse, his worst fears are confirmed.

Threats are fired in both directions and, in the end (and with the moral support of Sarah Carter) Ian Murray proves that the Mohawk really did bleed the scared child out of him a long time ago.

Later, a bloodied and war-wearied Ian Murray returns home, only to be stabbed by the love of his life and the mother of his child. Isolde at least has the good grace to stitch him up afterwards.
