When Mimi falls ill and is unable to carry on with rehearsals for Wicked, a very weary Jack Harkness tracks Geoffrey down and asks him to take over directing the musical for the time being. It takes a soul-searching conversation with Duck and a bit of intervention from a meddling Jaye Tyler before Geoffrey officially takes it on, but ultimately it's a request that he never really had any intention of refusing.
