"Oh...shit," Owen says, walking into the rec room and promptly seeing some chick covered in blood. He rushes into the room and to the girl's side. "Are you okay?" he asks, eyes scanning her quickly for the source of the blood, but he can't find it.
Gert blinks and wishes the blurry guy would have the decency to focus even though she knew - somewhere in the back of her suddenly very alive mind - he wouldn't what with the severe lack of glasses.
Wait. Blurry guy. Blurry adult. Might be a doctor? Was she in a hospital? What sort of hospital blasts Bon Jovi? Warning bells go off immediately and she pushes herself up to a sitting position, eyes wild.
"Wh" - she clears her throat and when she speaks next it's much stronger - "Where am I?"
Oh fuck, she was new. Great. Owen had never dealt with a new person before and he'd just gotten shot when he'd arrived and didn't remember much other than the fact that Ianto had just SHOT him before he was transferred to some crazy island and oh god this stucks.
"You're in the rec room," he said calming down. "in the compound on an island and my name is Dr. Harper or...or just Owen if you'd rather, whichever. Look, I need to know if you're okay?"
Her mind latches onto 'compound' and little else. She definitely didn't like the sound of that and soon she's on her feet, looking around for an exit. She's acting purely on instinct and her instinct says 'run.' It's been the de facto policy around grown-ups since she found out about her 'rents and she saw no need to change it anytime soon. That is, not until rational thought finally rears its logical head.
She just got stabbed and she's on her feet. Her hands fly to her chest, to where the knife had just been a second ago only to find nothing. No wound, just blood.
"I'm pretty spry for a corpse," she quotes, looking incredulously at the good doctor before adding, "What did you do?"
And here she thought resurrection was an East-coast thing.
Chase saw her and didn't exactly know what to make of her. People appeared all the time and they had that...look to them. So he just looked at her warily and wandered closer. "You okay?"
Gert looks up, not that it helps much given the fact that she can't exactly do things like focus. Still, habit forces her head upwards and she gives the guy a listless sort of smile.
Chase shrugged at that, finding his way inside. Normally, he'd be more concerned, but here on the Island, it was too easy to find people who'd died all around you. "You look pretty alive here to me, so I guess it didn't take."
"Your powers of observation are impressive," she deadpans, mouth quirking into a smirk. Still, she's glad he's not playing Mr. Mom, especially since her own mother was an evil time-traveler.
Neville knew a little bit about showing up on the island looking like you'd just been through hell, so when he came across someone looking just like that on the couch in the rec room, he figured he ought to say something.
"Hullo," he said, pausing nearby, not so close that he was in her personal space. "Did you just get here?" Or maybe, he supposed, she'd just had a bad day.
It's hard to tell without her glasses, but Gert'd bet a telepathically-linked dinosaur that he's around her age. Well, that's promising. It'd suck if this was the Isle of the Old.
"What gave it away?" she asks, offering the guy a sort of half-smile, downright friendly by her standards.
Neville knew the question was more rhetorical than not, but he still gave her a half-smile in return and gestured at her jawline near her ear. "You've got a little blood..." he started, then just finished with, "You look a lot like I did when I got here. Has someone... I mean, do you know where you are?"
"Were you dead on arrival?" Gert asks, genuinely curious. But at his question she nods and adds, " Somewhere around 'in the middle' and 'of nowhere', right? Got the 411 from some Owen guy."
"And then you showed up here," Arya said, nodding to herself. She didn't need to look again, because she was sure she would have noticed a stab wound first go around. "My brother was being stabbed when he got here. Don't tell him I told you that if you meet him, though, he doesn't like to talk about it."
"I'll keep that in mind," says Gert with a wry sort of smile. She turns the knife over in her hands without paying much attention to it and instead tries to focus on the girl in front of her. Looks about Molly's age, she thinks, but it's hard to tell without the ocular support. "I take it stabbing's not a normal point of arrival around here?"
Duo saw purple hair when he walked into the rec room, and for a moment thought Noin?, and then realized what a freaking weird last name that was and sent up silent sympathies to the lieutenant. The shade was wrong, though. He meandered around the sofa in the general vicinity of the bookshelf then saw the blood and knife.
"The 'red stuff''s entirely homegrown," Gert replies, sparing a glance downwards at her blood-stained clothes. As far as she can tell, she's not bleeding on the couch. This seems important somehow. Not that she cares about the couch but no harm, no foul.

The 'and who the hell are you?' remains implied.

Adults like that, telling kids what to do.

"What happened to you?" Arya said, looking at the blood and then the knife. They sort of hinted, but they didn't tell the whole story.

"Holy shit," he remarked.

"Sorry," she says with a shrug, "I didn't have time to clean up."

"Um. The red stuff, not the knife."
