This one lacked glitter, although she was reluctant to acknowledge that there was any part of it that wasn't as bad as the rest. That was where the trouble started.
She and her (currently pink) direwolf paused when they caught sight of Sheppard, troubles temporarily driven from mind. Well, for Arya. Nymeria may still have been concerned; Arya wasn't actually sure if Nymeria could even tell she was pink. Could direwolves see colour?
"You're floating," she said dumbly, to the floating John.

He slowly lowered himself down, and while he hit the ground a little harder than he anticipated (he was too used to inertial dampening), at least he was still on two feet. "Why are you pink? And all dressed up?"

He was pretty sure that Arya wouldn't see things the same way, but hell. John would've been pissed if he got stuck in a gown also.

He hadn't seen any grown-ups flying before, even with all the strange sort of magic people had today. There was a mean spark of triumph in him when the man fell down again, but Peter flew down to hover over him all the same.
"You're woeful, you know," he told him seriously. "You're never going to get up like that."

"Well, this is kind of a new development for me, he said, groaning as he sat up and brushed dirt off the front of his shirt. "I'm used to planes, or spaceships."

"That's not proper flying," he told him in a bit of a know-it-all voice. When it came to flight, Peter couldn't help himself. "Getting off the ground shouldn't be that hard. If you can't believe you're up there why should the air?"

It faded a bit when he actually listened to what he said, though, and made a thoughtful noise. "Never thought of it that way," he admitted. It was kind of a chidish way of thinking it, but really. He was the one still on the ground.
Getting off the ground didn't take too much concentration, mostly because John'd already done it. Even if it'd been by accident.
