There were little things about parties that Addison always revelled in, back when she used to put them together. Things like napkins and the appetizers. Those sorts of details. Here on an Island, it was harder to find those kinds of things, but there was no issue like money, so 'renting' out the Hub for the evening was more like asking to book it off and then just showing up.
She did have the presence of mind to do some legwork, which basically amounted to a couple of fruit trays and veggies, a bit of dip, and just one batch of cookies. Of course, it was Addison at the helm, so they were neither amazing nor terrible. Just there.
She just cared that Jamie had a decent birthday party, really, and that his friends turned up. No one wanted a party where no one came. That would just be...well, depressing.
So the music was playing, lights were lit, and the stage was set.
