House had always wanted to be a rock star.

Seriously, he like... ached for it. The closest he got really was that summer in New Orleans, and hearing what had become of his bandmates since then made him not really regret his choices... but still. He wanted to be Rick Wakeman.

Of course, you can't be Rick Wakeman on a regular piano. Just like you can't be as bad ass on an acoustic guitar as you can be on an electric. So for House, there may have been something positively magnetic about that black 1986 Fender Stratocaster he saw propped up against an amp in the rec room. Someone had obviously left it with the intention of coming back. In fact, there might have been a big label on the case nearby that read "Property of Roger motherfucking Davis", but House didn't notice. He did have some boundaries (you do not tune another man's guitar), but not touching wasn't one of them.

So he leaned his cane against the couch and hobbled to the guitar, then slipped the strap over his shoulder and strummed. Oh, yeah. He was such a bad ass.

[OOC: To see what he's playing, bonus clip of House with electric guitar here. Er, is a clip from S4 pilot, but not very spoilery.]
