It was Pam’s turn to take care of her.

Jim lazed about on the couch as she entertained Sam nearby. He knew he ought to get up and take a proper nap in the room - Pam wouldn’t care - he just didn’t feel like getting up. So the couch it was, and it wasn’t even that uncomfortable either.

He vaguely heard Pam cooing something to the kid, and he smiled as he shifted to get more comfortable. It couldn’t have been a few minutes later that he felt someone prodding him awake from the doze he had fallen into.

“I think she’s sick,” Pam said, as Jim sat up, rubbing at his eyes sleepily.

“What?” he asked, looking up at her. She was still cradling the baby in her arms. “What do you mean?”

“She sounds congested,” she explained, and Jim didn’t need to be fully awake to realize how worried she sounded. “And I think she just sneezed. What if she’s sick from being taken out?”

Jim sat up so she could sit next to him, which she did a few seconds later. He reached out to feel the forehead with the back of his hand. “No fever.”

She bit her lip nervously, still watching her. “…Maybe we should bring her to the clinic.”

It was definitely an idea. He gently took Sam from her, rocking her gently and smoothing a hand over her head. She didn’t look too sick, but then again, this was the first time he ever dealt with a kid so small being sick. “…Maybe.”

[OOC: Joint post, open to all! Despite how it looks, it’s not a bad time to meet the family, and to possibly tell them they’re overreacting over a tiny, non-serious cold (or to mention meeting Gideon. >_>), haha. Simon’s obvs. Requested, being the kid’s doctor and all.]
