The three women and the young girl looked at each other and smiled briefly as they each went to post something on the notice board. Funny how everyone seemed to have the idea at the same time.
Glenn had told the woman not too long ago he wished to learn the weapon she had been seen fighting with. He did not forget their agreement, and when he signed his name on the list, he added, (will be happy to give lessons in swordsmanship in return) under it.
"As I am sure you will as well. I was hoping to start next week, in the afternoons." She was still part of a building crew, and that responsibility was important to her.
"Very well. Busy with work on the barn mostly." It was her routine, but she enjoyed it. It is good that it is finished, though not that Duck managed to hurt himself in doing so. And you?"
"It's been a slow week or so," he explained. "I've not been able to do much because of a wound inflicted by one of the beasts on the other side of the island. It seems I was one of the ones the island decided to play its tricks on and sent me over there for the weekend."
"The dinosaurs? I am sorry to hear that. You are alright now?" Teyla looked concerned as she spoke, there had been many taken that weekend, and luckily few hurt badly.

"I have faced beasts like that before," he explained, with a small smile. "It was a bit harder without my armor, but aye, I am fine. I received good care from the clinic."
"Good. The doctors here are skilled." One was in fact a dear friend. "I would have been upset with you had your injuries been worse." Her mouth twitched into a smile.

"And I would certainly not want that!" he exclaimed, with a laugh. "We escaped the area with little problems, thankfully. It takes far more than dinosaurs to stop me, I suppose."
It was joking boastfulness, truly, and he hoped it came across that way. It had been quite a dangerous situation, though to dwell on it as so would do no good.
"Did ye have any friends affected by the strange events?"
"I was lucky that I did not. I did help with the rescue efforts." Teyla couldn't not have helped, it was too in her nature. "I am sure that they saw you and ran in fear," she joked back, smiling. "If not, they would have been wise to."
