Charlie had been running and she came to an abrupt stop when someone appeared on the sand in front of her. She stood with her hands on her hips, between the waistband of blue shorts and her white wifebeater, her red bangs hanging in her eyes.
"Hey there, sugar?" she said, her face flushed and her breathing rapidly returning to normal. "You okay?"
Raistlin needed information and at first he was tempted to force it from her, then doubt settled in as he wondered if she was even real or if this was another one of Her games. Finally, he decided on diplomacy. After all, if this wasn't some strange dream acting too rashly would certainly hurt his cause.
"I'm not sure. What is this place?" He let just the right amount of confusion enter his face as he studied the area as shrewdly as he could.
He nodded. "People arrive here often?" He wasn't sure what that meant yet, but at least he was able to calm down slightly and begin think through what was going on.
"Magic Island?" He gave a slight smile, though if one looked carefully enough it didn't quite touch his eyes. "I'm sorry it seems I can't stop asking questions."
The only good thing about the island was that it seemed to have a lot of attractive, pleasant people on it. Rictor still wasn't happy about ending up there especially after a freaking earthquake, power outages, and dinosaur issues, but at least there was no shortage of people to meet.
It was hard to tell how long this guy had been there for. Maybe a day or less? Anyway, he figured he ought to try being friendly so he offered up a polite smile. "Hello."
"Hello." Raistlin had been exploring, but it had soon become obvious that while by some strange quirk of fate he managed to look as he had before the test again, and to be in better health than he had been in years that he still had limits. His breath had starting coming more painfully and finally he had been forced to sit down.
"This place is certainly bigger than it first looks."
Rictor leaned against a tree, glancing at the other man with mild concern. "Yeah, it's also very strange." Very, very, very strange. "Are you all right?"
"Strange. Yes that does seem an appropriate word doesn't it." He sighed. "My health has never been what one might call hearty, but a rest has helped." At least it didn't feel like he was fighting to breath anymore.

"Just your regular magic island," she said, with a smile that she hoped was reassuring. "I take it you're new, sugar?"
