Delirium didn't like sleeping, she felt vulnerable in her mortal body and her not-so mortal mind could not switch off at all. She was constantly moving, constantly changing but sometimes her brother caught up with her. Mostly she didn't Dream, sometimes she did.

Was Delirium feeling sane? It was very scary at first, Samara knew.
She walked over quietly, and lifted up her poor sister's head with her hands.

Delirium breathed deeply. She wished Samara didn't have to see her like this but the Island kept stealing people, maybe if she held onto her she would never leave her. She would never be alone. "Please, don't leave me sissy. I'm-I'm sa... how do you cope? Everything is so quiet, so quiet."

Delirium wrapped her arms around her legs. "Have-Have you lost anyone that you thought you might break into pieces or-or maybe devolve into gaseous matter?"

Delirium wrapped a piece of Samara's hair around her finger. "Forever And Ever. Endlessly here, I think I would like that and I think that is my own thought. I think- I think I don't want to go back anymore."

"I don't want to go home either," she said. "Sometimes I think if you want that really bad, you don't go."
