Self-Help

Sometimes, Logan just enjoyed setting things on fire. But really, let's be honest, who doesn't? It was a lust he couldn't quite control sometimes, best catered to when there was something really good to set ablaze.

Back home they'd have bonfires on the beach. Nothing but beers, girls, and fights. They'd burn everything they could until the flames seemed to lick the sky, and then they'd get wasted and wait for the waves to put it out.

Tonight, sadly, it was mostly just sticks and leaves on the beach, fire flickering up about waist-high as Logan walked around it. Every now and then he'd toss in a balled up piece of paper, pages from books that the shelf had offered to him. Most of them were self help for abuse survivors, books Logan had taken and collected over the many months he'd been living on the island. However, some of them were a bit more subtle in their content and titles, fiction offered up to him that dealt with things that he and Neil tried not to talk about anymore.

It felt good to rip them apart and watch them burn. It was almost as good as getting high or drunk even, and Logan was smiling as he started in on a copy of 'Finding Your Inner Child, and Healing Their Wounds'.

Who the hell read this stuff anyway?

(Logan is burning things on the beach, that always cheers him up. Feel free to join in. Now's a good a time as any to meet him.)
