The sun was just setting, there were birds calling and the somnolent buzz of lazy insects filled the air, proclaiming all was well. Yet Catelyn was nervous, tense as she made her way back from the compound to Summerfell, a bundle of clothing to rework into proper clothes slung over her shoulder. For weeks now she'd been catching movements out of the corner of her eyes, at first passing it off as animals moving through the jungle. But the frequency had grown, and while she'd not yet managed to see whatever it was that was stalking her footsteps, each half-glimpsed waver of movement tended to put her on edge, these days.
She'd seen no fewer than four such movements just since leaving the compound, and her strides were quickening unconsciously as she walked the familiar path. Another twitch in the corner of her eye whipped her head around and at last she saw what had been following her all these weeks--a shadow crept over the face of a nearby boulder, distinctly human in form yet with a sinister air. There was no one in sight to cast the shadow, and despite the fact that the day had been warm, almost too warm, Catelyn suddenly felt an icy chill as the shadow form raised a sword.
"No," she whispered, backing away as the shadow paused, head turning as if seeking its prey. "Not again." The setting sun seemed to turn from pink and orange to a sickly green as she remembered Renly's tent, the gaping wound and no one there to witness but herself and Brienne.
[Okay, so Cat is pretty freaked out, but feel free to meet her for the first time. And of course, no one else can see the shadow. ;) Catch her somewhere between the compound and Summerfell.]
