Tosh looked worried when she saw Jack in the kitchen. "Jack, you haven't been cooking, have you?" It could only mean bad things, she was sure.

"Just pancakes," he replied. "And coffee. The rest I just sat out. Why?"

"Nothing, i've just never seen you cook," Tosh tried her best to not seem worried, "It's good that you can."

Jack gave her a look of skepticism, but let it drop. "I'm not the best cook, but I get by. Are you okay, Tosh?"

"Fine. Why wouldn't I be?" She didn't sound entirely convincing though as she started to make herself some tea.

"Oh, I don't know. Because you don't cover as well as me?" he said, rising from the stool. "Do you want to talk?"

"It's silly." It really was silly. One of the sillier things she had to be upset about really. "I forgot my own birthday."

"Tosh!" he replied, shocked. "That's not silly! When was it?"

"The twelfth." She felt silly though. "Who forgets their own birthday?"

"People with other things on their mind," he shrugged. "How about we have a party? Late, but still...big or small, name it."

"Jack, I made a calendar, I'm tracking dates, I shouldn't have..." She stops at the mention of a party, smiling a little, "That would be nice. You'd do that?" Of course he would, he wouldn't offer if he wouldn't, would he? Leaning in, she kissed his cheek, "Thank you Jack. It would be nice."

Jack beamed and pressed a kiss to her cheek. "I'll even find someone else to bake the cake," he laughed. "When would you like it? I'll drag people there if I have to."

"You'll manage to get Mimi and Owen in the same room and not kill each other?" She looked hopeful, but doubtful at the same time. "It really doesn't matter when, does it? It isn't as if we work all the time here. Maybe whenever you can find someone willing to bake the cake." She smiled at that.

"I think if anyone could get them to keep civil, it'd be me," he replied, stroking her arm. "I'll get everything together and let you know. How old are you? Nineteen? I like nineteen."

"You would be the one person who could, you're right." Though Tosh was fairly sure if she made them both promise they would try. She didn't want to have to do that.

"Nineteen." She manged to not roll her eyes, just. "Thirty two Jack. Already."

"No way. I refuse to buy that," he smirked. "Twenty five. That's my final offer."
