The reason they call it a Revolution is because it's always coming around again. Ned had been keeping a low profile for a while now, spending time with Rogue, adding to the hut as much as he could. Ever since he found out that Keel1 was in fact Sam Vimes, he'd been a little...reticent was a good word for what he'd been.
That day, he was in the rec-room, doing battle with the enchanted book-case2, and he was tired of reading. So he was building a fort.
Experimentally, he built a small wall out of "The Revolution: A Field Manual for Changing Your World", "The French Revolution", "The American Revolution.", "A People's Tragedy: Russian Revolution, 1891-1924", "The Rights of Man", and "The Spanish Civil War: Reaction, Revolution and Revenge". He hadn't found anything about Treacle Mine Road yet, but that doesn't mean there wouldn't be. Ned wasn't sure how he'd feel about that.
He was whistling to himself as he built his little wall higher.
All the little Angels rise up, rise up...
1 He'd always known that that wasn't the John Keel, but this was something different entirely.
