It was only a couple of days before the play. Jim was finally feeling the nervous tension start to build up, and he was practically glued to his copy of the play

Geoffrey is humming along with the song without the lyrics making any impression on him whatsoever. In fact, he's really not paying any attention to anything except the diagrams in front of him. That is, until he looks up and realises one of his leads is right there.
"Feeling just about ready?" he says, giving Jim a somewhat absent smile.
Jim was glad for the interruption. He turned from the jukebox when Geoffrey spoke, trying to tune out the song and get back to what he had been thinking about before - the play.
"Yeah, I think so," he replied, scratching the back of his neck. "Getting kind of nervous, though. What're you doing?"
Geoffrey shows him the diagrams in his hands, sketches of the staging during various scenes. "Just making sure all my ducks are in a row, so to speak," he says. "Hoping the dress rehearsal will run smoothly, or as smoothly as a dress rehearsal can run, anyway."
"Everything's come together pretty well," he offered as he took a look at the drawings. "I think we've all worked enough that things should go fine. That's what I'm hoping, anyway."
"Good. That's all I care about," he replied, grinning. "I trust any change you make will make it better. Do you think we're ready? I think we are, which....may or may not be a good sign."
"Everything seems on track to open on Tuesday," says Geoffrey. And close and Tuesday, but the opening is the important thing. "I do not foresee major catastrophe if we keep on the way we have been."
"Well, if you need any help, I'm free to do stuff," he offered. "Ever since I got out of the Council I actually feel like I have free time to do stuff."
"If anything collapses you'll be the first guy I call, then," says Geoffrey with a grin. "Hopefully the island doesn't have anything planned for this coming week, that's all I can say."
"Yes, well, that's what I thought last time until some people decided to go tangling with a giant squid," says Geoffrey, maybe just a little bit pointedly.
Jim looked a little sheepish, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's not my fault I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time," he grumbled. He had gotten lucky; he probably wouldn't have been able to walk, nevermind act, if Dwight hadn't saved him. "Besides, I think all the bandages people had...added to the play. Somehow. It showed how dedicated we all were to the project."
"Yes, they looked like they'd been in a shipwreck," says Geoffrey. "Even the ones who hadn't." But Jim's right, it had all turned out all right in the end, and it would again.
"Exactly. Really, the squid did you a favor," he joked. "But yeah. I really don't feel like getting attacked by any large animals, so I have my fingers crossed it was a one time thing."
"Feeling just about ready?" he says, giving Jim a somewhat absent smile.

"Don't worry, I'm not changing anything. Well, I'm not changing much. And nothing you need to worry about, I promise."
