Man, being the ninja master of this wacko island was tougher than anyone had let Yuffie in on. No wonder Godo was such a cranky old fusspot. She just hoped it wasn't genetic.
Right now, Yuffie stood in the middle of what was becoming her dojo. It was mostly a platform, raised off the ground, and the beginnings of a hut nearby. It would be shameful to sleep in the compound, even if it was a lot like an inn. So she built herself, wheedling what help out of the building crew she could.
With a dramatic sigh, Yuffie flopped down onto the floor, and stared up at the sky. Keeping busy, she didn't have to think about what she was missing at home. "Okay, fine, I admit it. I'd do just about anything to see my dad and the gang again. Even stupid old Cid, or broody Vinny."
Everything was quiet, except a wind. It smelled a little to her like the wind coming off of the Da Chao statue. Tears sprung to her eyes.
"Kweh?"
...and that wasn't her. Yuffie sat up, scrubbing the back of her hand over her eyes. "Hello?"
"Kweh!"
The little nina grinned so hard it hurt. 'cos her luck had just changed!
[Yuffie's just found her item, which is a chocobo. Basically, a giant yellow bird of the ostrich/emu persuasion. Tag in, and she'll maybe even let you touch it.]
