One hundred and fifty-one days and Bob still hasn't been more than one hundred yards away from the Compound, just far enough to acquire some samples of the local vegetation and soil to examine in the lab in the hopes it would give them some clue as to where they are and how to get home, but not too far. Maybe not even far enough.
David and Mayko have both tried to get him to go further and Bob's resisted everytime, using his work in the lab as an excuse to stay behind. And, up until a couple weeks ago, it was a very legitimate reason.
But, it's not anymore.
Realizing the truth -- or even just the possibility -- of being fictional has done a lot to alter his way of thinking here. It makes many more things possible, things Bob's only ever considered to himself and never voiced to anyone, especially not David. He knows how David would consider something that only has the barest hold on science, which is to say that he wouldn't. But, Bob has met a fictional William Shakespeare and has had talks with Jane Bennett and breakfast with Delirium. Anne of Green Gables is on the Council and Clarice Starling met him on his first day. There's a chance he's simply gone crazy and he'll wake up one day back in Toronto and David will have to talk to him through a hole in the door, but he doesn't think about that. Not in any depth, at least.
Sometimes, though he knows it's probably impossible, Bob wants to just stop thinking altogether.
So, he's made himself a small lunch of fruit and a sandwich and packed it in a bag the clothes box provided him and he's heading to the beach for the day. He doesn't know the way, but he thinks he can figure it out if he just follows the path.
Maybe he won't even let himself try to look for answers.
[OOC: As always, open to any and everyone. Catch him anywhere along the path or at the beach. Am at work so please forgive any spontaneous ST.]
