"Something like that," said House. He closed his eyes as he shoved the plunger in. "Want some? Greg's notes say it's quite a high if you're, you know, not me."
He let the syringe drop to the table.and then replaced Jack's fingers with his own before pulling the gauze away. "It's fine," he said quietly. "Used to it."
"I know. Just helping," he replied, taking the empty syringe away. Dropping it in the box, he ran his fingers through his hair before he turned back. "Feeling it yet?"
Jack grinned and sauntered back, taking a seat on a stool next to him, knees spread wide once he'd gotten his feet on the bar. "I'm done working for the day," he mentioned, drawing idle circles on the countertop.
Clearly it was still helping.
He didn't even blink as the needle came out and Jack stuck a hand in his pocket.
"Worse than normal day?"
