There were some people who would have found being offered a chance to be a part of an island council to be a rather nice gesture on somebody's part. Bond's reaction was to scrutinize the hand-writting of both people who recomended him before retiring to his cave for a bottle and a half of moonshine ( Read more... )

Tony had taken to spending a good part of each day at the beach. After all, it was a tropical island, what else was he to do? Of course, on a proper tropical island there would be swim up bars and girls playing beach volleyball. Oh yeah. That was what this place was missing, more girls in bikinis.

He caught sight of the blond man, stopping in his tracks. It was uncanny the way he looked just like... No. It could't be...

Putting on his best (read:awful) Sean Connery accent he walked up to the man, grinning like a fool. "Let me introduce myself. The name's Dinozzo. Anthony DiNozzo." Pretty suave, if he did say so himself.

The MI6 agent's lips quirked up into a half-smile as he eyed the American. God, he really hated when men were taller than he was and Anthony DiNozzo was 1.88 meters. However, he could scarcely blame that on the man himself. "I suspect you already know that I'm James Bond."

"You're kidding, right?" Tony dropped the accent, his eyes wide, "I just thought that you looked like... Abby didn't put you up to this, did she?"

He regarded Tony with a good deal of quiet amusement before shaking his head. "No, Abby did not. I really am James Bond and I really work for MI6."

"James Bond. Here? On this island." This was possibly the best moment of Tony's life up until this point. Better then the time he saw the photo of Kate in the wet tshirt contest on the wall of the bar. Or that other time with that cute college girl and her friend... Even better then when he got the job at NCIS.

He was meeting his idol. In the flesh. On a beach. On some island. "Are there any bond girls here?" Hey, he could hope.

"I think it's likely that I shall remain here for some time to come," Bond replied calmly.

He came close to saying he did not have any sisters when he realized what Anthony DiNozzo meant. Bond girls. He had never seen many of those much to his dismay. Only Vesper and he rather felt he had deserved better. "None whatsoever, I'm sorry to say."

"I've ended up on an island with James Bond. I knew there was something good about this place." Tony was talking more to himself then to James Freaking Bond but he couldn't hide his excitement at meeting the man, no matter how okay with it he might try to seem.

"So... What do you do here on the island?"

No doubt this fellow would be more than happy to have James on the Council. "Thus far, I have built myself a still and I have gone hunting for various animals including dinosaurs and sharks. How long have you been on the island?"

"Wait, dinosaurs?" No one had mentioned dinosaurs to him. "Sharks I can handle, but there are dinosuars?"

Tony looked a bit shocked. Rightfully so really. "About a week. I ah, Dinosaurs?" Maybe it was a name for soemthing else?

"Yes. Big ones, small ones, and medium-sized ones. If you explore the other side of the island, you might find some of the less friendly and peaceful sort." It wouldn't do to have Anthony wander off and die, after all. "I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a weapon."

"I'll remember that." Tony shook his head making a note to maybe start carrying his gun after all. "So no Bond girls, but a still and some big game hunting. Sounds like you've been busy. ust be nice though, not having any bad guys here, being able to kick back and relax a bit."

"For a week or so," James agreed. "Then I started to wonder about what was happening back in England. I don't mind the island, but I do miss having work to do." He had never enjoyed relaxing although he knew most people did.

Tony hadn't actually gotten to that point yet, stopping to think about everyone at home. About how Abby could have been here, but been there as well. If he looks a little stunned at thinking about it now, it's not surprising. "That's a point." After all, Gibbs needed someone to support him, especially now. "I hadn't even thought about that."

James frowned briefly before regarding the other man calmly. "Well, you needn't dwell on it now. You've only been here a week."

The problem was tony had been taking it too easy here. Gibbs would have had his head if he'd seen him here. Tony scratched the back of his head, almost feeling the smack he would have gotten had his boss been here.

"Well, maybe. But that's not always much of an excuse, is it?"

"Not generally," James agreed. "However, there is remarkably little to do here on the island. So you might as well enjoy it while you can." Eventually all the relaxation and meaningless sex got on a person's nerves or they simply joined the throng of happy-go-lucky island dwellers.
