The only way Arthur had managed to get through recent events was to keep himself busy. He hadn't been able to get past his writer's block, or whatever it was that was preventing him from writing down any of the things he had planned to, but he had managed to at least get some reading done during the time he had remained in the compound. A few minutes later, Calvin walked through the rec room. He'd been out in the sun all day and it showed, his freckles were standing out brighter than usual. He blinked at the change of light, then saw Arthur on the couch. It'd been ages since they'd run into each other. "Hey there."

[I meant to tag this earlier and forgot, but Calvin wanted to say hello.]

"Hello there." Arthur gave a slight grin putting the book aside. It was turning out to be as trashy as he expected, though trashy with decent character development it seemed. "It seems as if you've been enjoying the day."

He nodded, leaning back against the bookshelf. "I decided to waste my afternoon playing in the sand. It was a grand time."

"I'm still attempting to master the whole going with the flow sort of thing." And Ghost being gone was not helping him with this endeavor, at least it seemed that some part of Ghost was still with him...well in so much that the bookshelf now gave him somewhat trashy vampire novels.

"Yeah? I can see that." Calvin tried without much success to get some of the grit from under his fingernails. "You managed the dinosaur thing okay, right? Safe and sound?"

"Yeah, managed for the most part to avoid them." He hadn't gone back to his hut until he was certain of an all clear, then he had kept himself busy with repairs.

"Did you avoid or try to get a close-up look?" Of course there was more than just a tiny part of Arthur that was curious about them, but he was smart enough to know that he would probably be useless in handling them.

Calvin couldn't help but smile ruefully. "Oh, I couldn't resist going out, I did search and rescue. Plus, I knew I'd get real antsy, hanging out here and not doing anything."

"It was an amazing sight, really, despite my wishing it hadn't happened."

He nodded. "Do they think they have it under control?" After all if it could happen once it could happen again, though he supposed they would be more prepared next time it would be nice for there not to be a next time.

"Yeah, pretty sure they got the fences working together." Judging by the fact that there weren't still dinosaurs running 'round any more.

He leaned against the edge of the sofa. "How're you doing? Seem sorta down."

He shrugged glancing at the book. "I guess I was just reminded of something." He gave a slight smile. "It's not bad, at all...just I suppose a little bittersweet."
