PM clinic post... (or not).

Mar 18, 2007 18:57

Since I was well enough yesterday to leave the clinic as a patient, I thought that today I would be well enough to go back to it as a doctor and at least catch up on administrative things. I wanted to thank Dr Beckett for handling everything so well, since I hadn't had a chance in the midst of everything, and I also wanted to look through the ( Read more... )

Pam's next natal appointment wasn't until April, but she found herself running a little low on her powdered ginger. Rather than thinking maybe she didn't need it as much as she had three or four months ago, she decided that she should see about getting a bit more.

She'd been slightly reluctant about heading over to the clinic, but she hoped that maybe there wouldn't be that many injured people still hanging around. It wasn't exactly something she wanted to deal with.

Sticking her head in the door, she was glad to see Dr. Fraser sitting at the desk. Even though she seemed to be one of the injured people Pam had hoped not to see.

"Dr. Fraser?" She hesitated for a moment before slowly walking in. She was unsure if the doctor was actually there to see patients or if she was still recovering.

[ooc: Probably won't reply to tags until later tomorrow night or Tuesday, but I really wanted to get her in here to see Claire. ;)]

"Hello, Pam - come on in," I said, gesturing her in with the hand that wasn't in a cast. "It's good to see you." I was very glad to see that Pam hadn't been one of the ones injured in the week's chaos.

"Hi," she replied, walking in further and toying with the soft piece of sea glass hanging around her neck.

"Are you alright?" She gestured to the cast as she carefully sat down in a chair on the other side of the desk.

"I've been better," I admitted. "I was running away from a dinosaur, and I got away, but I fell in some kind of hole in the process and got a broken arm and a bump on the head for my trouble. I'll be fine." The arm would take a few weeks, but hopefully the headaches would stop soon. "Are you doing all right?"

She nodded slowly. "I'm glad you're feeling a little better."

Ducking her head, she smiled faintly. "Yes," she replied. "I'm.. feeling good, I think." She patted a hand gently against her stomach. "Though, I do feel like I've kinda doubled my weight in a matter of days or something."

That might've just been a nice way to explain that she was feeling really fat lately.
