Upon such a lovely day, Jane had been most eager to find her way to the Compound for dresses and decorations and so many lovely things. Though there had been a most foreboding air to her dreams that night (yet more nightmares she did not wish, of people disappearing from her life) she had shaken them off on her way to the Compound.
It was on her way back, fabrics piled high in her arms that she did not see the path beneath her and let out a sharp cry of surprise as she fell to the ground, her foot caught in a wayword hold, ankle mildly twisting as she went to the ground, the fabrics cushioning her hands, but hardly her leg, which was bruised by a rock upon the path.
Being clumsy was something she had never aspired to be, but somehow managed anyhow and Jane sat up, collecting her skirts as she tugged her leg towards her, peering down with no reaction to the long and thin cut up her leg and the bleeding it was causing.
"That won't do," she remarked softly, reaching for the fabric and wetting a spot with her tongue to press to the line, keeping one hand to her forehead as she exhaled and cursed herself for being ever so silly.
She peered around, knowing that she would require aid. "Excuse me?" she called out politely, to anyone who might have heard her. "Excuse me!"
