This is not an exit.

There were only a select handful of scenes from American Psycho that really appealed to Brian. Arguably, there were other ways to make the afternoon go by but he couldn't see anything wrong with taking a break and watching someone else kill people was the next best thing to getting to kill people himself.

Thankfully, Bateman killed plenty of people. The best one was the death of Paul Allen. Of course, very few things could be as visually stimulating as bashing someone upside the head with an axe to "Hip to be a square" and then hacking them to bloody bits while bitching about restaurant reservations. The scene where he threw a chainsaw down a stairwell while naked and bloody was impressive and it made Brian wonder if you could actually kill someone that way. Too bad he wasn't going to find out on the island seeing as there weren't any really good stairwells and he didn't have a chainsaw.

The ending was extremely disappointing. Still, it made sense because there was no way all of that killing was going to go unnoticed with Patrick being so sloppy.

And then there was the speech at the end: "In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape. But even after admitting this, there is no catharsis. My punishment continues to elude me, and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself. This confession has meant nothing."

Brian rolled his eyes and hoped this guy didn't ever show up. Even after only a handful of days of being on the island, he knew the last it needed was another loser. He watched as the credits started up before getting to his feet and turning the projector off. It was time to get some work done. Sadly work only meant finding something to get Dexter to remember.
