It was unlike anything he'd ever laid eyes on before; Giant, hulking mass of metal, terrifying and imposing, and (gratefully) motionless. If not for the lack of movement, he might have been compelled to run.
But as it was, he took a few slow steps toward the great mechanical beast, golden eyes wide and round, and jaw slacked.
In a tone that mixed awe, fear, and curiosity, he asked in a half-hushed voice, "What in the hell is that?"

"It's my Deathscythe!" He came to a halt at the base of its foot, running his hands along the metal.
"Hey, buddy," he said quietly, "how ya doin'...?"

Still, he stepped slowly closer, shielding his eyes from the morning light, and staring up at the intimidating suit. Like a giant, metal person, in that it had a head, arms, legs, the basic structure of a humanoid body.
"It's... it's HUGE..." he said, awestruck. Duo had mentioned his Mobile Suit before, but Ed had imagined it to be... maybe twice the size of a human being... not as tall as some of the buildings in Central.
