After more than a week of searching for Walt, Jeroen was just about ready to give up, if not for good, than at least for a day. The cold was starting to bother him, to creep beneath his coat and sweater and slip under his skin. He was always cold now, even inside, and his clothing was always soaked from the snow.

He'd stopped early today, feeling exhausted before he'd even set out. After less than an hour of searching territory that was already familiar, he'd headed inside, grabbing a banana and managing to peel it with only a little trouble. He took the banana with him to the rec room, and decided to search the bookshelf and see if there was anything in Dutch.

Most of the titles seemed to be in English, and the few Dutch titles appeared to be far too advanced for him, filled with science or history or other things that didn't interest him in the least. He was just about to give up, frustrated, and go back to Eostre's cabin, when his eyes caught on a title.

It didn't look like a book, but it was Dutch, and even looked interesting. He traced his fingers over the title, before pulling it out and looking blankly at it. He had no idea whatsoever how it worked.

((Jeroen's holding the film he came from, and is going to need someone to set it up for him, because it's a little beyond his capabilities. Everyone's welcome, but the movie subject matter is quite uncomfortable--Jeroen, who is eleven, enters a physical relationship with a nineteen year old soldier. Anyone Jeroen's already met would be especially welcome, particularly Neil and Eostre. ))
