Clinic Duty!
During his stay on the island, Carson had gotten used to the fact that he wasn't the one in charge of the medical facilities. If he'd still been on Atlantis, he would have taken the occassion to start up a few more side projects. The problem was, here on the island, there never seemed to be enough to do (besides watch episodes of Stargate: Atlantis, but after the last time, he'd seen more than enough).
After a thorough search of the lab, he'd found some electrophoresis equipment that confirmed his opinion that the island was a modern scientist's worst nightmare, but he was becoming somewhat hopeful that he'd be able to run the tests that he wanted. Even if he wouldn't be able to do any sort of in depth genetic work, it might quell boredom a bit.
So tonight, instead of attending the party for the new council, he found himself sitting in the clinic, pouring over research notes. At least it would give him something to do that wasn't remembering the fact that somewhere in some alternate reality, he'd been kissed by Doctor Rodney Mckay.
