Yuri was in the kitchen as she ever was on Wednesday mornings. Coffee was on and water for tea. There were things resembling scones and fruit salad and a bit of sliced fruit too. The bacon was finishing up and she was about to begin on pancakes--it was good to have a source of eggs

Chris wasn't sure why he needed to remind himself to eat at the Compound more. It wasn't like he would forget that he was more than a little tired of fruit, or that he suddendly developed awesome cooking skills, though he could occasionally grill a fish like Faramir taught him.

He smiled when saw it was Yuri. "Good morning." And the smell was wonderful.

"Hey!" Bonus with breakfast this morning. "Long time no see. What brings you up here?"

He didn't usually eat at the compound, or so he said. It did get crowded and a lot of people didn't like that.

He smiled. "The fruit wears a little thin." He sat down ready to make a plate. "Besides it smelled terrific." Of course he had been inside before smelling it, but that didn't change the fact.

"Well, the food is here for anyone so... What can I get you?" She now wished she'd made potatoes this morning.

"How've you been?" she asked while waiting to get him food.
