He cut himself off, as he actually got a good look at the other man. Those... those trousers were very... tight, and was he smoking?
Alcuin tried very hard not to stare at those trousers.
"How are you, Giles?" he finished weakly.

He nodded at the cues and smirked around his joint. "Fancy a game then?" he asked, leaning against the pool table with more swagger then any man who enjoyed reading about demon migration patterns should have.

The way Giles was leaning against the pool table in those trousers was making Alcuin think that the fates were laughing at him again. Making Giles even more attractive, rubbing it in his face that he wasn't in the least bit interested in Alcuin...
And still, he couldn't stay away.
"Sure," he said. "A game. Though I'm not entirely sure how to play." He paused, and added, "I didn't know you smoked."

"Right, so since I sank that one, I get to go again. I'm hitting the stripes, you're hitting the solids. No worries though, I'll go easy on you this time," he said with a wink, offering the joint to Alcuin before lining up for his next shot.

He took the joint, thinking for a moment that it was just a cigarette, but when he put it in his mouth and breathed in the smoke, he realized that it was that strange stuff he had once smoke with Logan.
He coughed a little before handing it back. "Thanks."

"I love this song," he told the young man, moving just a bit with the music. He wasn't dancing though, not really, just sort of swaggering about. "I should start a band," he said thoughtfully.

Looking back over at Giles, he said, "Do you... sing? You're quite a good dancer." He thought of the ball. Rather wished they could do that again...

Of course, it was probably a bad idea, but... he felt disinclined to deal with this situation.
He waited a few minutes to gather up some courage and finally just blurted, "Look Giles, I know you're not interested..."
