The Crow was wary of how comfortable he was becoming here. He was wary of his newfound relationship with the Lion. He was wary and worn, but utterly peaceable.
He was actually smiling while he took shots at an old archery target he'd attached to a tree near to the Compound.
The storm was over. Long over. They had survived, all of them...except for Brandon. But he had dealt with Brandon's loss once. The second time was no easier, per say, but it was not something he could destroy himself over. Things were going to be all right with his pack, that much he knew. He would even survive telling them about Jaime...eventually. For now, he would satisfy himself with telling Ned that there was someone. Someone. That was enough. Ned needn't know that he'd finally made a man of himself. Though Benjen imagined that the smirk on his face was probably very telling.
Even his horse was generally peacable, but Benjen suspected that this had more to do with the fact that there seemed to be no mares in heat and few enough people bothering him or trying to end him.
[looking for other asoiaf pups actually, particularly starks. anyone else is welcome. he's slowly settling back into the himself that was before canon threw stuff to shit! it's actually a really good time to meet him.]
