(no subject)
hello.
i sprained my ankle a week ago, and i cant play basketball for at least a little while.
i currently have The Game and 50 Cent song stuck in my head, that goes as follows. ahem:
'this. is. how. we. do. we make a move and act a foo while we up in da club. dis. is. how. we. do. nobody do it like we do it so show us some love.' and then later...my favorite part...'ur now rockin with the best, got chrome on my hip, teflon on my chest'
uh...our basketball team is in contension to be the worst team in school history. in terms of record i mean. that sucks pretty bad. but i actually have been thinking about it, and its understandable. the first few losses were just a few losses. we only lost like 5 before lake park. and since then, we havent had a full bench of 15 guys. first, paul stiltner, a starter and leading scorer, hurts his knee in the lake park game and is out til...god knows when. then, same game, nick petrich, our other leading scorer and another starter, hurts his ankle and cant play the rest of that game. then, a while later, patrick harrel is kicked off the team for whatever reason, (its not as bad as you all think, but i dont wanna talk about it) and all of a sudden, we're missing 3 starters! i mean...i dont think that we're really that bad of a team. i think that if we had our full roster, we would have won a few games in conference. for example, we would have beat glenbard east the second time we played them. that game we only lost by a few points, and stilts could have EASILY given them to us. i betcha he woulda shut that little shit cappoci down too. (lol, i dont even know the kid...but he IS a shit.) uhh..we DEFINATLEY woulda won that fucking wheaton north game. in my book, we DID win that one. we earned it, but the refs were absolutley TERRIBLE and im not just saying that cuz we lost. i swear, they gave wheaton north like....700 possesions, and we only lost by 4 points. i bet if stiltner could have played, and patrick could have played, we would have gotten that one. who else? i think that if we had had our full roster during last weeks game we woulda won. we only had 10 out of our original 15 in uniform that night, including 3 guys who play JV. of course they beat us that night. i wasnt dressed that night, cuz my ankle. so..im not exactly saying that we're the greatest team with the worst luck...but we ARENT a last place team. that is bull crap. personally, i think our record should be 3-4 in conference...but hey. lifes a bitch, and then you die. i just hope we win 2 more games so we dont go down tied for the record of worst team in GBN history...
next year we'll be better, i guarantee. if i work my ass off, ill start next year. we'll have some great sophomores coming up too. did you know that our sophomore squad is in first place in conference? undefeated. yeah. so think of that next year. im thinking a team consisting of: myself, chris wanzung, steve somenek, scott ravanesi, paul vaisnoras, brett hulett, zack carney, mike kline, brandon sampson, jake larson, kirin chahal, brian evans, and 3 other straglers. let me tell you tho, itll be a well rounded team. i dont think we'll really have a weakness. with me and vais inside on defense, nobody is gonna be able to do much, and then carney and hulett on offense are a bitch and they have been since their freshman year...yeah man. i think we're gonna be good. i cant wait for illinois...
