as it sit here, my toe surgetized (if thats a word) i realize how annoying life can be. how one can hype something up so much only to be disappointed that much more.
for example, when somebody buys a lottery ticket, they usually know they have no chance at winning. but with our dreams we have spent the 50 million in our heads and hype up to the point of being sure of victory. and of course disappointment is around the corner.
on tuesday i went to the price is right (to be aired feb. 16 look for me in the audience, i was wearing a red shirt, i looked like the kool-aid guy) but what an upsetting day that was. we got to the studio at 4 30 AM, yes AM means in the morning, only to be greeted by a huge line. at 6 am they gave us a green ticket and told us to come back at 7 30. when we got back at 7 30 they gave 183 people priority tickets and the rest of us stand by tickets, which didnt guarantee us a seat. then told us to come back at 11. so in about 6 hours we have gonna two tickets that havent guaranteed us a seat and not much more. when we got back at 11 they told us we could wait to see if all the groups showed up and if they didnt we could go inside. or we could go see the Tyra Banks Show. we decided to stick with Bob. after waiting a while we found out that we would get to go inside but would have to wait outside till about 2, which was about 2 hours at that point. in that time, me being the ham and overall annoying person i am i was dancing (without music), singing to people, having conversationg with people from montana and indiana, and being an energetic ball of fun, with (mostly) the hopes of being noticed by a crewmember and be picked to come on down. no. the way you get picked to come one down, is by standing in a line with 12 people and being asked where you live and what do you do. clearly those the most two important questions in the world. and after waking up at the buttcrack of dawn and wasting all my energy in line, i tried as hard as i could to say "anaheim California!!!" and "AAA but at heart im an actor and a singer" which i figured would lead to more questions and it kind of did and we had about 10 seeconds of small talk until he went on to the next person. after that we went into the studio, which is soooo much smaller than i thought it would be, it was amazing to see the way they made that stage look so big. but in that audience was about 300 other people that thought they were gonna be called and have their dreams come true. after that last person was called everybody in the audience just lost their energy because they realized they had wasted 12 hours of their day for a lot of nothing.
and now i lay here tired my foot still surgetized because of my ingrown toenail, which feels 100 times better because of the surgery.
and thats it, im too tired to some up with a moral to the story.
