Anyone still around?

Hey guys! Is anyone still around (I realize I’m being hypocritical since I haven’t been around in a while)?

If anyone still is, just a bit of a 2019 recap!

The big thing for me in 2019 was my Europe trip - Amsterdam (the Van Gogh museum was probably the best museum I’ve ever been to), Belgium (Ghent was my favorite city, so cute!), and France (loved how different the Normandy coast was from the French Riviera). Incredible vacation.

Saw Derek Hough live, who was absolutely incredible, and then went to a bunch of really cool exhibits (Harry Potter, Tolkien, MC Escher) - love living in ny.

Broadway was again a huge part of my year. Highlights were: Seawall/A Life (two incredible one-man plays), A Band’s Visit (one of the most breathtaking shows I’ve seen), Working (with Javier Muñoz and Chris Jackson!), and Scotland PA (much funnier than anticipated).

Bunch of tv: Chernobyl is def the best thing of 2019 and prob one of the best works of television I’ve seen in a long time. Years and Years was a close second. And I really liked the two seasons of American Crime Story. Season three of true detective was a significant improvement over two. You’re the Worst, Gotham, Shadowhunters, Veep, Silicon Valley, Life in Pieces, Elementary, Killjoys, Legion, and Preacher all came to perfect ends. I kinda liked Into the Badlands overall as well. Also, cinemax’s the outcast was a surprise - a great take on possessions. Games of Thrones limped it’s way across the finish line and I’m really sad it didn’t get the last season it deserved. Although it’s not done, I honestly am not sure if I’ll be bothering with the Magicians bc the previous season finale left a really bad taste in my mouth. I would have liked to see more of Whiskey Cavalier, The Kids are Alright, Deadly Class, and Krypton.

Loved The Disaster Artist, The Quiet Place, Oceans 8, Inside Out, Finding Dory, Sicario, Bohemian Rhapsody, Rocketman, Antman and the Wasp, Only the Brave, Green Book, Stronger, Call me By Your Name, Conviction, and The Report. Have veeery mixed feelings about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and Hereditary.

Liked Nerve, Moana, Cold Pursuit, Shazam, Adrift, Pokemon, Baby Driver, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Aladdin more than I thought I would. Am very confused about mother! - don’t think I’ll ever watch it again but I can definitely appreciate the work that went into it.

I was terrible at reading this year. Nothing really caught my attention and kept it for long. I actually found myself just rereading books I’ve read and enjoyed before. Hope 2020 is better!

Any fun updates from you guys? Hope everyone had a great 2019 and is starting 2020 off well!
