So the 13 hour flight went smoothly, and rather quickly. I sat with a nice American Family, and one random Canadian. We all had a good time on the flight....gotta love Free alcohol on the planes. However one idiot took it too far and managed to get extremely drunk, got stuck in the bathroom....then had to be escorted off the plane by paramedics when we landed.
LAX WAS HORRIBLE. I was already feeling like ass, and was really tired (didnt really sleep on the big flight), and then had to wait 1 hour to get through customs PART ONE. After that whole mess, I picked up my luggage to find another line up to the door where you hand in your customs card....and then another HUGE lineup to where we all switched our luggage. There was only two planes on arrival, so why the line was so long is beyond me. So that whole process took about 2.5 hours....and I only had a 3 hr stop over. So I get to the gate, and then it appears that there are electrical problems on the plane, which means we didnt actually leave LA until 11ish. We landed in Toronto 1 hour and 45 minutes late. Toronto customs was a breeze (they had ALL the gates open, not like 5 like US customs), but luggage took 45 minutes.
There were SO MANY people at the airport. I go thru the doors, and there is just a sea of people. We then found ourselves in another lineup...this time for the elevators. Some people were being asswipes and fighting.
American Airlines is still shitty. But I slept the whole flight. 5 hr flight, and no meals...and what they had on offer for the purchase cart was crap as usual. Air Canada does the whole ' no free meals' VERY well, with many options to choose from . AA offers M and Ms or chips...
Qantas was fantastic as usual.
I forgot my stuffies, stitch and moosey in Australia :(
So now I am doing the laundry (YAY DRYER!!!) and then probably heading up North to hang out at camp for a few days....and then the cottage YAY!
