I just got my consoles all RE-hooked up to a spiffy little Chinese 8-way RCA splitter which makes switching between consoles and the tv a hell of a lot easier, but that's if they all actually have the RCA outs. I was a little worried it wouldn't work as it wasn't that expensive, but it works great right now. The only one that doesn't is my top-loader NES. But it still looks okay with the RF cable. Plus I didn't have to get a new, and expensive, power bar/surge protector with enough space-out slots to accommodate those stupid AC adapter bricks.
Picked up Golden Axe Warrior for the Sega Master System a little while ago and since getting everything organized, started to play it. The original Golden Axe was a simple side-scroller fighting game but the designers decided to model the sequel after a very popular game, the Legend of Zelda. But they didn't just use LOZ as a model, they damn near copied it down to the DNA. It's almost an exact duplicate of Zelda with a few tweaks and graphical upgrades. But the real difference is the goddamned difficulty level. First of all, it's harder to attack with a piss-poor attack range, plus the enemies usually take a few hits to kill and the enemies can drain your life with two or less shots. Which makes it harder to kill them, which makes it harder to collect currency, which makes it easier to die, which takes away your collection of currency already collected, which forces to to try and kill more enemies. Vicious circle. Anyways, since I'm a Zelda whore, I'm playing through it just for the experience. Once you start collecting better weapons and armor, it gets a little tolerable, but be prepared to die. A LOT. Save. A LOT.
