ugh....
I'm really going to have to insist that Hope quit taking the A/C with her when she goes out of town. This is the second time that the air-conditioning has failed in conjunction with her going away :) Maybe it just likes her better than me. It wasn't so bad yesterday, but today's been... unpleasant. And since it's Labor Day weekend, I can forget about any maintenance attention until at least Tuesday in all likelihood. It's like the thermostat's dead. I put it on cool it does nothing, turn the fan from auto to on, it does nothing. I checked the breaker outside by the a/c unit, and the one for our apt was all the way to the right. The neighbor's was in the middle, so I moved ours likewise. Nothing.
I emailed the property manager, but if she sees the email before Tuesday morning I'll be very surprised. So for now I've got all the windows open. It doesn't do much good since the layout of the apartment really prevents any sort of draft from forming, but it helps some.
Any ideas?
