Any More Obvious
Tim/Bart, Tim/Kon, Kon/Cassie. PG-ish. eta: and the fandom is DC comics. Hi, I'm a moron.
Notes: Written for the_avril_game, the sk8r boi challenge.

So, a while ago (like a year ago), someone said that since Tim and Bart both canonically skateboarded, they should skateboard together and sulk about Kon hooking up with Cassie. So, um. Yes. The mini-skate park in question is the one that Bart built in Teen Titans #whatever.

Time stopped. You hung in the air, suspended, and it didn’t matter that it was just a few seconds-

Back to the ground, wheels hitting the wooden half-pipe. It was different from running, but it still felt good. Felt like he could stop stop everything from going so fast, from outrunning him.

“Mind if I join you?” Bart blinked and looked up. It still felt weird to see Tim in civvies, weirder still when he wore cool-looking sunglasses and held a skateboard in hand.

“Robin skateboards? Dude. Weird. And sure, why not?”

They skated in silence for a while, Bart watching Tim out of the corner of his eye. He wasn’t doing any tricks, though Bart bet he could do some totally awesome ones. He was just skateboarding around, up and down, lazy and slow.

“You built this yourself?” Tim finally said, gesturing to the mini-skate park on the Tower roof.

Bart nodded. “Yeah, the San Francisco library had some books that were really really helpful, so it wasn’t that hard. Where’s Kon?”

“On a date with Cassie.” His voice was casual, neutral - if you didn’t know him like Bart did, you’d assume he didn’t care.

Bart zoomed in circles around Tim. “Do you think they’re having sex yet?”

Tim blinked at him, the equivalent of anyone else’s jaw dropping in surprise. “I have no idea.”

“Did *you* and Kon ever have sex?”

That got him a sharp look, and Tim stopped skateboarding. “Is it any of your business.”

“We’re all *friends.*” Bart couldn’t keep the frustration, the hurt out of his voice. “I mean, it’s okay, I’ve already figured it out and gotten past all that hurt feelings stuff, but you could have *told* me, okay?” He stopped skateboarding, too, watched as his board rolled to a stop.

Tim stiffened. “We never had sex, no.”

“You sound like a robot.” Bart flopped down on the roof, squinting up at the sun. After a while, Tim joined him.

“So, like. Were you guys actually dating, or was it just a... thing?”

He could feel Tim smile next to him. “We never went on an actual date. I guess it was just a thing.”

“And now he’s dating Cassie.” Bart kicked at the ground. “That must really suck for you.”

“I’ll get over it.” Tim still sounded like a robot.

Bart peered at him, then leaned in and kissed him on the mouth. Quickly, too quickly for Tim to kiss back or push him away, and when he pulled back Tim just blinked at him. “What was that for?”

Bart shrugged. “I felt like it. You know, I’m pretty sure Kon and Cassie will break up pretty soon.”

Tim looked amused. “How do you figure that?”

“I just do.” Bart looked up, and this time Tim kissed in, his hand cupping the back of Bart’s head. Tim’s lips were soft and cool and he never opened his mouth.

“Hm,” he said afterwards, and smiled, and Bart had no idea what that meant, but he smiled back anyway
