Dear Friends!
Two weeks have passed since my holidays have started. I don’t know how it was possible to have a lot of work in my last week of school. Normally we make projects in the last week. We were just riding our bikes or walking around in Vienna. A bit boring. But in the afternoon for example I had to make a home page for a school project within one day and a lot of other stuff.
On our last day of school we got our reports and mine was pretty good. I’ve got four 2s and the rest are all 1s. So I’m one of the best in my class. In the evening I went to a restaurant with my class but only until ten o’clock and after that I met some of my friends. The evening wasn’t so exciting because we went to a bar with very bad music. And it was so loud we couldn’t speak with each other. Some other friends of mine had a party this day. I should have gone there. This night I think I came home at 2 o’clock.
From Wednesday to Sunday I was at a camp and in the evening there was a big party every night. It was pretty cool. I went to bed every night at 3 o’clock and got up at half past eight. On Saturday I didn’t go to bed at all. I met a really nice girl there. She really speaks a lot and she is a bit childish. Maybe that’s why my friends don’t like her.
On Monday I was at a concert of two really good bands, New York Jazz-Ska Ensemble and Tokyo Ska Paradise. The latter were playing so good Ska and there improvisation was great. You should get you some songs from them. In the last weeks I got a real Ska Fan. I’m just working on setting up a ska band. I will play the Sax and I already have 2 Guitars, a bass. Again there are drums missing and other horns. By the way. For all of you who play Saxophon, Trombone, or Trumpet (if you are playing something different it will work too) I found a great tab page for these instruments with a forum. www.horntabs.net It’s neat. Now I can play things of reel big fish. This band will soon come to Toronto I think. When you have the chance to see them, do it. They are so cool. And there version of “Take on me” is really good.
Now I’m with my grandparents in the east of Austria. I came to this small city by train (the journey lasted about 7 hours, it’s awful) and I read on in my Steven King Book. Do you know the Dark Tower? I’m reading the Gunslinger now. It’s really difficult, Frankenstein was easier. King writes like people are speaking and that’s really hard to understand.
This weekend Harry Potter will be published. I’m so excited. I will mine tomorrow. I hope there will be enough books.
Hope your holidays have started nicely (When have they started and how long are they?/And how are your reports?)
Yours Ruben
